Robert Fripp's Diary

19.59 An afternoon of paper and business has given way to an evening of paper and business. Pat Mastelotto & I spoke this afternoon: ProjeKct Three are making their debut at the Electric Lounge on Sunday 21st. March.

If John Kimber would like this confirmed directly, please: fax number and/or address. Otherwise, no response. Meanwhile, here is the confirmation.

Yesterday Diane & David went to London to cheer for The California Guitar Trio, who were playing in Oxford Street. After eight years of touring, supporting King Crimson, Sylvian Fripp & John McLaughlin, the Trio are beginning to be noticed in their own right. This afternoon I caught glimpse of Hideyo, who has been our guest in The Tower Suite, standing on the village street awaiting collection.

Chris Murphy arrived yesterday: he hadn't checked his e-mail asking him to delay his arrival for two weeks. This is because your Diarist is off to Amsterdam & Brussels, en route to Tokyo.

Bill Bruford visited yesterday and left a message for me, via David (I was in London at Chez Horse), regarding ongoing Crim plans. Crim remains, as ever, a strange creature of ever shifting facets.

Gary of the Artists' Shop was in touch: he has been offered "Kan-non Power" by The RFSQ for distribution. Gary was rightly suspicious: this is a bootleg from a Japanese TV show (1993). Each of our JSB tv shows in Japan is a CD release one month later. It's almost as if someone in the tv company has access to the masters and a serious bootlegger.

22.40 Enough already. Telephone calls to Adrian Belew, continuing to pursue Crimson plans. Ade gave me Ian Wallace's number. Ian now lives in Nashville, and Ade goes to see him playing jazz in town. Now I have Ian's new address, we shall send him Collectors' No.2.
Toyah is in Manchester for BBC1 tv in the morning, so I have blown her a goodnight kiss and am closing up the office for tonight.
